Festival Chic

Sunday, 16 May 2010
Although it's hard to believe, but it's true that summer is actually around the corner! Which means get ready for the festival season...T4 on the Beach, Glastonbury, The V Festival to name a few. It's a time where high maintenance people don't stand a chance! Mud, rain, dirt...maybe some sun if you're lucky, but we're in the UK so that's enough said!

Having said that, festivals can be a lot of fun. Especially if the guy you've been lusting after has finally asked you to go with him! So, here are some essential things you can't forget to pack...

Bourjois Blusher
To give your face a little perk, a good blusher is a must! You won't be wearing much make up (probably can't be bothered to), but unless you're really that brave to go bare-faced, I'd recommend a sweep of this across your cheeks. This is my current favourite.

My staple wear: bright lips! Since you won't be wearing much make up, why not do up your lips instead! You know which brand I'm going to be recommending...Revlon! Well, I'm not being biased, but you do need something that is everything proof for up to 12hrs!

Simple Facial Wipes
I religiously take my make up off every night; in NO circumstance should you girls sleep with your make up on! So so SO will regret it in about 6 - 8 weeks time when that blemish appears! It does take that long for it to be visible, so take no chances! I think these wipes are the best.

Nivea Visage Tinted Moisturiser
We don't want to be slapping on the foundation in a squashed tent, with a tiny compact mirror. So, tinted moisturiser comes to the rescue! I'm currently using this one from Nivea Visage for Young Skin, gives you a skin-kissed look without the heavy feeling of foundation.

Hunter & Jimmy Choo Wellingtons
As I mentioned earlier, a combination of rain and grass = dirt! These babies look gorgeous and will keep you mud free, but thinking about it since it's Jimmy Choo...I don't think you actually want to get them dirty! Lets just stick to the original Hunter Wellies!

Sun Glasses
No need to explain, we're in Britain...rain and sun is standard! H&M has a great selection of over-sized shades that also protect your eyes too! Most of mine are from them.

Lastly, anti-perspirant: This is an obvious thing! You'll be doing a lot of "throwing your hands in air, like you just don't care"! So, be sure to pack a decent one.

That's all for now, I'm sure I'm missing things but this post is taking me ages to finish!
Hope you all have fun, whether you're going with friends or with a gorgeous date! xoxo
