Join the army

September is upon us, this calls for a change to our wardrobe for the Autumn season. Designer Christopher Bailey for Burberry Prorsum, has got us all talking about the jacket of the season...military-inspired aviator styles. It took me a while to be persuaded by this trend, mainly because it can look too, somewhat 'boyish' for me. But, pairing it with autumn dresses, thigh-high boots and tousled curls...I'm converted! For me, I'll have to get a crop-fitted one as some people don't have the long lean proportion of the girls on the catwalk! In fact, the cropped styles are the ones being spotted at the Burberry Prorsum shows. Also spotted was, a style that hasn't left the scene for a few seasons, the new military style jackets. I love the fitted and belted creations of these.
If you still can't decide which one to pick, take a look at some pictures from this collection...just get both I say!

Also, who else hates the new post editor?! It's taking me twice as long to write a post, just cannot rearrange the uploaded photos how I want them! The old one is so much easier! This explains why I have the photos one after the other, instead of side by side. I'm sure I'll get use to it, but it really is driving me INSANE!

I like the trend, I just don't think it's for me personally. I'd love to see it on others though!

I really like the military coats and the one in bright blue is so pretty. I think I'd love to have on in navy blue without the really brassy buttons so when the trend fades, as it inevitably will, people won't say I'm so 2K10.

Come by and get to know me at
