China Fashion Week: Goddess of fashion

China fashion week kicked off in Beijing on 24th March. Fashion week in countries other than the four main cities never get coverage in the press. How could I possibly not post about this.

A brand that instantly makes you think 'goddess' has to be Lancy from 25 朗姿. Their latest collection rightly named 'Enjoy the privilege of being the Goddess' gave us a sense of the powerful, extraordinary women living in the 21st century.

Floor-sweeping dresses that sparkled in the light, a mixture of one-off shoulders and deep plunging neck lines. Gorgeous textures; silk, sequins, and a hint of leather were all seen.

To compliment the collection, the stage was gorgeous; almost like a valley!

Ready for Spring trends

When I think of Spring, I see flowers, prints, and light colours. How desperate are you to change into your spring wardrobe despite the cold weather? The shops are depressingly selling bikinis already! Don't despair, with some layering you can still wear your spring clothes to cheer you up. Cardigans, blazers, and tights are my regulars for the cold.

For Japan with love

Time for the bloggers to join in with helping the people in Japan. Blogger's day of silence tomorrow (Friday 18th March), no post for one day to honour those suffering in Japan following the devastating disaster.

The devastating disaster in Japan isn't just affecting the people of Japan, it will have a massive affect on the sales of many designer brands too.

According to reports in the evening standard 'almost half of Japanese women over the age of 20 own a Louis Vuitton handbag, in Toyko the proportion is 94%'!

Being one of the world's leading luxury brands consumer, Balenciaga, Burberry, Swiss watch and many more will be affected.

The world is suffering with Japan, please help those affected, donate through the British red cross.

London Fashion Week in pictures...part three

Brightly coloured pieces seen at Bernard Chandran AW11 collection. Rich reds, pinks and navy make up the collection. Structured silhouettes and fine cutting, it was also a refreshing collection. Definitely a way to brighten up your wardrobe for autumn/winter.
