Clutch on to that!

Sunday, 25 March 2012
British summer time has officially begun; there can't be a better time to talk about accessories. This post...clutch purse! Being a 'daytime clutch virgin', I still haven't managed to make use of my clutch purses during the day. In my defence, I'm more likely to take a clutch with me on a shopping trip and it's very impractical shopping with one hand. Sure, I could fling the purse between my underarms, but I can't guarantee it'll still be there after a few frantic buys!
Nevertheless, I will break my daytime clutch virginity some time soon! Perhaps during coffee with the the sun! What about you? Are you a night or day 'clutcher'?

LFW AW12: Reveiw

Friday, 16 March 2012
Endless coffee drinking, heavy bags to carry, running around like a headless chicken...ahhh, how I miss London Fashion Week!
What happened behind my camera can only be described as...human sardines! There are only a handful of female photographers during Fashion Week, so there's no doubt people like me have no chance of winning a fight (for space) with the guys!
A little (teaser) photo diary and simple reviews on two (out of tons) of the shows I attended...more pictures will be published in the next issue of Dress Me Magazine (USA) next month.

Spijkers en Skijkers AW12
A step back in time. The AW12 collection from the duo designers featured retro-feel garments. Loads of 40's style dresses, with exotic birds-inspired colours. The identical twin sisters had their signature colour panelling present in every piece.

Francesca Marotta AW12
A story to tell...I felt that the models at Francesca's show were trying to tell a story. With the dark hues of black and red, "blood" dripping from the eyes, and almost theatrical movements, I'm thinking...a sad love story?
Lots of black (not complaining, it's slimming) and tons of sheer and see-through fabrics were present, with hints of velvet.

Spring Jacket

Saturday, 10 March 2012
The minute the temperature reaches 15°C, the British public are out in their summer kit! Seriously, not kidding! Spring may officially be a few weeks away, but this weekend we get a little taster. Although, you won't find me on a beach unless it's a minimum 25°C. I will however be shedding a layer and slipping on a thin blazer or cropped jacket. A few of the best...

This Dorothy Perkins number has made itself into my wardrobe already!
Soft Tux Blazer; Dorothy Perkins (Limited addition) £39
Leather-look Biker Jacket; H&M £29.99
Longline Tux-style Blazer; Topshop £65
Sleeveless Belted Jacket; Topshop £45
Cropped Boucle Jacket; Topshop £65
I love Topshop's range of jackets; a different style for everyone. Kick start your Spring with a new addition (or two) to your wardrobe!
