24 year old Olivia Golding from Manchester (UK) hopes to become a freelance graphic designer one day. With a creative mind since school teamed with a tech savvy nature, blogging is something that could possible help her build up her portfolio.
As her way to 'test the waters' on whether or not her work is blog-material, she's taking the sensible route by guest blogging.
First post from Olivia tells us 'How to wear Stripes with confidence'...

Aspiring fashionistas will be fully aware that fashion moves in circles. That is, what is in fashion now will likely come back round to be trendy again in twenty years' time. But one trend that remains a constant and is also really versatile you'll be pleased to know, is stripes. With many stores now stocking up on all things stripe-related from tops and skirts, to bags and shoes, there has never been a better time to convert to the nautical trend. So read on to find out how to wear stripes with confidence.

For a day out in the city
If you're after a smart and tailored look that is comfortable but screams chic, opt for a striped Tee in navy and white. Team it with a pair of navy skinny jeans to give you a streamlined silhouette and layer over a tailored blazer that is nipped in at the waist to accentuate your curves. Finish off the look with a pair of smart yet comfortable brogues, a bold and bright red scarf and a pair of oversized sunnies. The more daring amongst you could also try a slick of bold and beautiful rouge lipstick to really make a statement.

Many women fear wearing horizontal stripes across their torso as they think it will make them appear wider. However, thanks to the fitted blazer and skinny jeans combination, you can rest assured that you'll look sassy and feminine.

To showcase great legs
The best way to highlight and draw attention to your favourite body features is through pattern or bold colour. So if you have great legs and you want the whole world to know (and let's face it, who wouldn't?) showcase them in a pair of striped slim fitting trousers. You can emphasise a tiny waist in high-waist trousers or opt for low-rise pair to lengthen a shorter torso. As the monochrome look is all the rage this season, why not hit two trends at once and team your black and white striped trousers with a black vest with sheer panels. Shoe-wise, your best bet is a pair of sky high stiletto heels to again elongate those fabulous legs and finish off the attitude I-mean-business look with a studded cuff bracelet.

Imitate the French
When it comes to fashion, the French are up there with he greatest. Highly regarded as one of the trendiest nations, the French are able to pull off any look effortlessly and glamorously. So follow in their footsteps with this French-inspired striped outfit. Take one stripy dress - if you're aiming to create a slimmer silhouette, choose a dress with diagonal striped panels at each side, as this will take inches off your waist. In true French style, layer an eye-popping red belt over the top and choose a pair of sky high heeled shoe boots to complete the look and give you great looking endlessly-longs legs. Make sure your make-up is fairly dramatic - think sultry smoky eyes and rough lipstain. Select a pair of bold studded earrings to keep things simple in the jewellery department and be sure to carry an expensive looking black clutch bag to give off the impression that you've just come from a catwalk show. The classic French beret is of course optional for this outfit but is a great way to hide a bad hair day.

So you see, wearing stripes is really easy and no matter where you wear them, be it with a top, pair of trousers or dress, you're sure to look fabulous. Follow the advice to recreate the above looks and wear your stripes with confidence today.
